It is believed, two of the best ways to explore a culture is through its cuisine and music. Combining elements of gaming, communication and play, this project, an interactive application for tablet, builds upon rhythm  found in random sounds but also more rooted in culturally specific sounds. This interactive application depicts a number of cultures by concentrating on the soundscapes they generate and the music they create. The ability to play with music from different cultures and create new compositions is an important element of the project. This musical exploration is perhaps similar to our Canadian cultural landscape  rhythm interconnecting with diverse sounds to make music that overcomes social, cultural and linguistic boundaries. The rhythmic game play enables a melding of cultures through music.
